Now before using the new phone did you or have you deleted all or any previous connections on the phone and the watch? To clear any previous connections on the watch: from timekeeping press and release the Mode button 6 times to enter Setup, use the lower right button to scroll through the pairing memory locations, when you find a "paired" then press and hold the upper right button to clear the location.

    My G-Shock doesn't pair to my phone.  It's an older digital / analog watch.
